HAIL TO THEE,
CAGLAGO
By: Dominador N. Marcaida Jr.
See the rising land from the sea,
At the sandy shores of Lagonoy Bay,
High above those white-crested waves,
Nigh the sleepy homeland of the braves.
From the mount of Isarog to Caramoan,
Lies a cordillera of famous lands,
With the barrio of Tabgon by land,
Where the hills of Caglago proudly stand.
From the top of Caglago in Tabgon,
Yonder is the isle of Quinatasan,
Lamit is another island near Sisiran,
To the nearby coast of Pamban.
Rise from slumber, dear Caglago,
Show your verdant majesty,
Summon Neptune to sail the sea,
Aid you through your torments’ way.
From the gulf of Calaw-calawan,
To the nearby Pacific Ocean,
Raise your voice in resonance,
Honor and glory o’er your land.
Hail to thee, Caglago,
Sail the forbidding sea,
Dress in battle array,
For strength, honor and glory.
